I have been working in the health and fitness industry for 16 years. Since completing a diploma in sport and exercise science, I have developed my skills and knowledge to allow me to combine personal training, sports massage, soft tissue therapy and biomechanics to achieve the best results for my clients. I have built up a regular client base, some of whom are both personal training and massage clients.
Having worked for private companies, clinics, and commercial gyms, I have found that whilst people often achieve their initial goals, they struggle to maintain or surpass these. This is generally due to a combination of factors, but in my experience, it is often due to injuries that are sustained and a lack of readdressing realistic targets. I aim to do this with each of my clients. We should always be working towards something, whether that be weight loss, strengthening and conditioning, rehabilitation, or keeping you injury free so that you can achieve your goals.
Personally I have always been into sport and exercise. Playing mostly sports such as Badminton, Tennis, Football, Golf and Boxing, and have had my fair share of back and shoulder injuries along the way. This has helped me a lot when it comes to understanding the needs and limitations of my clients.
